Amita Mali, PT, MS, OCS, FAAOMPT
Amita Mali grew up in India where she received her Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy in 2007. She, subsequently, relocated to Pittsburgh, PA to pursue her passion in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, and received her Masters in Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy from University of Pittsburgh in 2009. Thereafter, Amita has primarily practiced in outpatient orthopedic centers. She successfully completed her Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) in 2013, and is a Certified Clinical Instructor (CCI) through APTA. Amita was recently recognized as Fellow through American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), and joins less than 1% of all US Physical Therapists who have achieved fellowship status. She is currently pursuing her certification in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. Lastly, Amita is trained through APTA as a Pregnancy and Post-Partum physical therapist.
Amita enjoys spending time reading, sketching, painting, and organizing social events as her hobby. She currently resides in Metuchen, NJ with her husband.
Jennifer Penn, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT
Dr. Jennifer Penn graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, and continued her studies at Sacred Heart to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jennifer has extended her training in becoming certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). Over the last 7 years, Jennifer has dedicated her physical therapy career working in outpatient orthopaedic facilities treating various orthopedic injuries, post-surgical treatment, chronic neck and back pain, motor vehicle accidents and work-related injuries.
Jennifer has a passion for fitness and wellness and is committed to providing quality patient care to enhance overall quality of life.
Barbara Golej-Figura, OT, CHT
Barbara received her bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Utica College in Utica, NY, and her Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, with an emphasis in Hand Therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia. She earned her hand therapy certification from the American Society of Hand Therapists as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 1992, and has worked in Hand Therapy in a number of facilities in central New Jersey since that time. She is certified by the National Board of Occupational Therapists and is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, the American Occupational Therapy Association, the New Jersey Occupational Therapy Association, and the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. She has extensive knowledge, and skill, in splinting the hand, wrist, and forearm, while completing static, dynamic, and static progressive splinting. Treatment of the pediatric hand, for the purpose of handwriting, is another area of particular interest to Barbara.
Lastly, she is astute at implementing ergonomic modifications to a person’s work and home environment, to help return the individual to an independent level of function.
Susan Rele, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT
Physical Therapist / Practice Owner
Dr. Susan Rele received her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at the EIM School of Health Professions in 2013. She has extensive experience in all aspects of physical therapy and is primarily focused on orthopedics and pelvic health. Susan is certified in the McKenzie Method, Functional Dry Needling (FDN) and SFMA. Prior to opening AmeriCare Physical Therapy in 2006, she worked in hospital and outpatient settings, which include, Sloan Kettering, Atlantic Health, and Kessler.
Susan grew up in Mumbai, India and moved to New York City in 1990. She now resides in Mountainside, NJ. In her free time, Susan enjoys spending time with her husband and her family and friends, as well as, going on hikes, being part of a book club and practicing yoga.
Dr. Susan Rele believes in providing clinical excellence, an exceptional customer experience and works very closely with her team to provide this for the community.
Brian Tababa PT, DPT
Dr. Brian Tababa graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University. Dr. Tababa has experience in outpatient orthopedic, sub-acute and hospital-based rehabilitation settings. Brian also has martial arts experience and is an instructor in Union, New Jersey. He attributes his knowledge on human movement, correct body mechanics and injury prevention to his background in Physical Therapy and martial arts. Brian strives to make every patient interaction individualized and professional in order to provide the best patient care possible. Dr. Tababa also strives to use his past experiences and the most current research to help patients achieve their goals.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys training at his martial arts school, cheering for his favorite sports teams and spending time with friends and family.
Jamie McLean, PT, DPT

Dr. Jamie McLean graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Jamie went onto attend graduate school at Sacred Heart University where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and graduated with honors. Dr. McLean has experience in the settings of orthopedic outpatient, neurological outpatient, and acute care inpatient. She also has experience in vestibular and concussion therapy. Jamie is currently a certified LSVT Big provider for individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
Jamie enjoys learning new skills, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her fiancé.
Sara Leach PT, DPT
Starting sports at a young age of four, Dr. Sara Leach has always loved and been involved in sports and sport organizations. While studying and after graduating from Seton Hall University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Dr. Leach has gained experience in outpatient orthopedic, acute care inpatient and pediatric physical therapy settings. Dr. Leach was also able to experience one of her student physical therapy 12 week clinical affiliations in Denmark, where she developed a better understanding for international healthcare systems. Dr. Leach is committed to providing the very best care and individualized treatments in order to help each patient achieve his or her physical therapy goals.
Dr. Leach is still an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time at the batting cages, going on hikes with her black Labrador retriever and playing on a recreational flag football team.
Dimitri Baldwin PT, DPT
Dr. Baldwin graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Howard University in 2011. Upon graduation, Dr. Baldwin has dedicated himself to becoming well versed in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions including post-operative cases, sports related injuries, spinal and musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Baldwin has also received extensive training in Maitland therapy and Mckenzie therapy.
In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife, go to the gym, watch movies and attend concerts.
Barbara Reuven, PT
Barbara Reuven’s specialization has been in orthopedics and sports medicine, with extensive training in Functional Movement Screening, McKenzie, Mulligan and Butler. In 2005 she became one of the very few therapists with Advanced Certification in the Structural Integration technique known as “Rolfing”.
Barbara is also certified in LSVT-BIG.
Barbara’s hobbies include training and competing in triathlon events including Ironman. Barbara completed her first full Ironman in Lake Placid NY in 2014.
Ayesha Rele, PT, DPT
Ayesha Rele, PT, DPT earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rutgers University where she received the award for academic excellence and graduated with distinction. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, where she studied Health Sciences and was a member of their nationally ranked dance team. As a therapist, Ayesha draws from her various volunteering and patient centered experiences to create a therapeutic alliance and work towards common goals. Her areas of specialty and clinical interest include orthopedics and spinal syndromes, pelvic floor and outlet dysfunction, pregnancy and post-partum disorders, manual based therapy and regional interdependence.
In her free time she enjoys getting outside on her yoga mat, exploring new places and continuing to find ways to learn.
Laura Wong, PT, DPT
Dr. Laura Wong graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Public Health, and recently graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers School of Health Professions. Laura has experience in outpatient orthopedics, hospital-based acute rehabilitation, and adult traumatic brain injuries. Her interests include manual therapy and treatment of movement disorders.
In her free time, Laura enjoys exercising, spending time with family, going on hikes, and reading about fitness.
Travis Franz, OTR/L
Travis Franz received his Master’s degree from Missouri State University in 2017 after receiving his Bachelors in Biology from High Point University in North Carolina. Travis has already experienced various settings in occupational therapy including: acute care, home health, outpatient therapy, orthopedics, pediatric brain injuries, and school therapy. His interests lie in assisting people overcome obstacles and has always wanted to pursue a career path in the medical field in order to help those in need. Travis has an interest in supporting patients who are undergoing slow recoveries, where victories are measured in very small increments.
His interests include golfing, playing basketball, cycling, and cooking for his family.
Jessica Martinez, PT, MPA
Jessica Martinez graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Continued her studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ, receiving a Master’s in Public Administration. Over the last 33 years, Jessica has dedicated her physical therapy career to providing high quality treatment with compassion and professionalism. Lastly, she is an advocate for organ donation and is a sponsor for rare diseases.
Jessica enjoys family time with her husband, 2 children, her pets, gardening, crochet, and yoga.
