Dr. Rupa Patel is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), practicing for over 8 years, licensed in the State of New Jersey. She went to Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD for her undergraduates for Bachelor’s of Science and post-graduate at University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Princess Anne, MD for her DPT, graduating in 2011.
Rupa has had a wide variety of experience treating patients in the Orthopedic and Subacute settings treating from young kids to the elderly with cases of sport injuries, falls, chronic back/neck pain, and post surgical rehab. Rupa is working towards the Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT) Certification, aka McKenzie Method which involves intense training/courses. Rupa is currently taking courses to learn more and train in Women’s Health related topics and treating Pelvic Floor to help patients with diagnoses of interstitial cystitis, vaginismusz, pelvic floor dysfunction, stress/urge incontinence, etc.
Rupa wanted to be a physical therapist since high school secondary to wanting to help people recover from their injury/symptoms and enjoys working with patients one-on-one to help them reach their personal goals. In her personal time, Rupa enjoys spending time with her family, reading, exercising, and learning new recipes in the kitchen.
